(Emotionally-Focused therapy)

Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy understands that the most important people in our life, our family, friends, and intimate partners are more than just temporary relationships. EFIT is based on attachment science, which states that relationships are vital to our self-esteem, our happiness, and even our survival. Interdependent relationships, not codependent or hyperindividualistic dynamics, create happy healthy humans. Our emotions lead us to knowledge and wisdom about how to get our wants and needs met, or what to do when we cannot get what we want and need. EFIT can heal relationships and give us greater compassion.

EMDR

(eye movement desensitization & Reprocessing)

This is one of the best evidence-based practice to reduce or even eliminate the symptoms associated with trauma and PTSD. Trauma-related symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, avoiding or distracting from reminders of the painful events or people, drug use, shame, guilt, self-blame, anger, fear, exaggerated startle response, difficulty sleeping, depression and anxiety. We are honored to have your trust and to be able help you heal from these painful experiences.

sex therapy

Sex therapy is therapy about sex, sexuality, and gender. Sex therapy is still talk therapy, no one gets naked or touched.

We specialize in working with "erotically minoritized" or LGBTQIA2S+ kinky, polyamorous/CNM folks. Our client-centered approach means we do not make assumptions, nor do we encourage conformity to, cis, white, amatonormative, allonormative, ableist, monosexual, & heteropatriarchal values. Your values, identities, and relationships are important to us. Our focus is on your pleasure and joy, not pathologizing your a/sexuality.

Sex therapy is a separate specialty from general psychotherapy, requiring additional training and expertise. For more information about sex therapy please go to the AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, & Therapists) website:
